How Much Does a Rolex Cost in Toronto

Search "how much is a Rolex" and you will read a dozen pages that never give you a number. Some of that is caution and some of it is that the honest answer depends on the watch. A steel Oyster Perpetual and a gold Day Date with a diamond bezel are both Rolex watches, and the gap between them is larger than the price of most cars.

So here are real numbers. We are Adonia Jewellers, a boutique on Yorkville Avenue in Toronto, and everything below comes from watches that were sitting in our cases when this was written in August 2026. These are pre owned pieces we sourced, opened, and inspected ourselves.

One thing to be clear about. We are not an authorized Rolex dealer and we do not set or quote Rolex retail pricing. What you are reading is the pre owned Toronto market as we actually trade in it.

Rolex Prices at a Glance

At the time of writing we had 163 Rolex watches in stock. The full spread ran from $5,800 to $110,000, and the middle of our inventory sat at about $19,500.

Broken into bands, that stock looked like this:

Under $10,000: 17 watches. Mostly vintage and smaller steel or two tone pieces, including 34mm Air King and Oysterdate Precision models and some 26mm Datejust references.

$10,000 to $20,000: 72 watches. The deepest part of the market. Steel and two tone Datejust in 26mm, 31mm, 36mm, and 41mm, plus Oyster Perpetual and Explorer.

$20,000 to $30,000: 53 watches. Gold and diamond dial Datejust, larger two tone pieces, Submariner, and entry Day Date.

$30,000 to $50,000: 18 watches. Solid gold Day Date, Daytona, diamond set bezels, and precious metal Submariner.

Above $50,000: 3 watches. Solid gold Day Date with diamond work.

Stock turns over constantly, so treat these as the shape of the market rather than a fixed price list. The live number on any watch is always on its own product page.

Rolex Prices by Model

Model line tells you more about price than anything else. These were our ranges in August 2026.

Oyster Perpetual: $8,800 to $9,999. The simplest Rolex, no date, steel, and the most affordable way into the modern line.

Datejust 26mm: $8,800 to $32,500. The classic ladies size. The low end is steel and the high end is gold with diamond dials.

Datejust 31mm: $10,800 to $35,500. A mid size that has become popular with buyers who find 26mm small and 36mm large.

Datejust 36mm: $9,800 to $25,499. The original unisex size, and the reference most people picture when they think Datejust.

Datejust 41mm: $14,999 to $32,500. The current men's standard. Steel with a jubilee bracelet sits near the bottom, and gold or diamond dials near the top.

Lady Datejust: $10,800 to $14,800. See our ladies Rolex selection for what is in stock now.

Explorer: around $13,800. A tool watch with a quiet following.

Submariner: $19,500 to $43,500. Steel at the low end, two tone and gold above it.

Daytona: around $34,500. Demand consistently outruns supply on this one, which is why it rarely sits.

Day Date: this is where the ceiling is. Solid gold with a president bracelet starts in the thirties and runs past $100,000 once diamond bezels and iced bracelets are involved.

Why Two of the Same Model Cost Different Amounts

Two 41mm Datejust watches can be thousands of dollars apart. Six things explain almost all of it.

Metal. Steel is the floor. Two tone steel and 18K gold sits above it, and solid gold or Everose moves the price into a different tier entirely.

Dial. A plain silver or black dial costs less than mother of pearl, a diamond dot dial, or a factory diamond set dial. Colour matters too. Certain dials run in cycles, and right now mint green, azzuro blue, and pink move faster than we can restock them.

Bezel. Smooth, fluted, and diamond set are three different prices on an otherwise identical watch.

Size. Within the Datejust family, larger generally costs more, though 26mm gold and diamond pieces can outprice a steel 41mm.

Condition and originality. Sharp, unpolished cases with original dials and hands are worth more than heavily refinished ones. A service dial is not a flaw, but it is a different watch from an original one and it should be priced that way.

Box and papers. A complete set with the original box and card holds a premium. When a watch we sell includes them, we say so plainly on the listing. When it does not, we say that too.

What You Should Budget

If you are working toward a first Rolex, a few honest guideposts.

Around $9,000 to $12,000 puts a genuine steel Rolex on your wrist, either an Oyster Perpetual or a vintage or smaller Datejust. Around $15,000 to $20,000 opens up the modern 36mm and 41mm Datejust in steel, which is the sweet spot for most first time buyers. Past $25,000 you are choosing between precious metal, diamonds, and the sport models.

One thing worth saying. Buying the cheapest example of a model you want is usually a worse outcome than buying a clean example of a simpler model. Condition follows you for as long as you own the watch. A tired gold Datejust is a harder thing to live with than a crisp steel one.

Why Prices Here Differ From What You See Online

Canadian pre owned prices are not the same as the numbers on international listing sites, and there are real reasons for that.

Cross border buying carries duty, tax, and shipping, and it puts any warranty or recourse in another country. Currency moves change the arithmetic month to month. And a price with no inspection behind it is not really a price, because you are absorbing the risk of what arrives.

We price against the Canadian market and we open every watch before it goes in the case. You can also just walk in and look at it, which is the part no listing replicates.

Why Choose Adonia

We are a small Yorkville boutique, not a chain. That shapes how we work.

Every watch is opened, inspected, and verified before we offer it. Serial and reference numbers get checked and the movement gets looked at. If something does not add up, we do not sell it.

Condition is described plainly. We would rather lose a sale than have you discover something at home you should have known in the showroom.

We service watches in house, so the piece you buy has somewhere to go for maintenance later.

And we will tell you when the answer is no. If the watch you want is not something we have a good example of, we will say so and keep an eye out rather than steer you to what happens to be in stock.

Come See One in Person

Numbers on a page only take you so far. A 36mm Datejust and a 41mm look very different on a wrist, and photographs flatten dials in ways that surprise people.

Come to the boutique at 70 Yorkville Avenue, try a few on, and get a straight answer about condition and price on each one. There is no pressure and no appointment needed, though you are welcome to book a time if you would rather have the case to yourself.

If you are shopping other brands, our Cartier, Omega, and Audemars Piguet stock is in the same room.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Rolex cost in Canada?

A pre owned Rolex in Canada generally runs from roughly $6,000 for a vintage steel piece to well past $100,000 for solid gold with diamonds. Our own stock in August 2026 spanned $5,800 to $110,000, with most watches between $10,000 and $30,000. Model, metal, dial, and condition drive the difference.

What is the least expensive Rolex you have?

Our entry point is usually in the $5,800 to $6,800 range, and it tends to be a vintage 34mm Air King or Oysterdate Precision, or a two tone Datejust OysterQuartz. These are honest steel Rolex watches with real history. Availability changes weekly, so check the collection page for what is in stock today.

How much is a women's Rolex?

Women's Rolex pricing in our cases starts around $8,800 for a steel 26mm Datejust and runs to about $35,500 for gold and diamond examples. The 26mm, 28mm, and 31mm sizes are the most requested. Mother of pearl and diamond dials carry the largest premium within any given size.

Why do two identical Rolex models have different prices?

Because they are rarely identical once you look closely. Metal, dial, bezel, bracelet, case condition, originality of the dial and hands, and whether the box and papers are present all move the number. Two 41mm Datejust watches can sit thousands of dollars apart on condition and dial alone.

Are the prices on your website current?

Yes. Every product page shows the live price for that specific watch, and inventory turns over regularly. The bands and ranges in this article were accurate in August 2026 and are meant to show you the shape of the market. For a current figure on a particular piece, the product page is the source.

Do Rolex watches hold their value?

Historically Rolex has held value better than most watch brands, and certain discontinued references have appreciated. That said, values move with demand and we do not promise a return on any watch. Buy something you want to wear. Condition, originality, and a complete set are what protect value best over time.

Can I see a watch before I commit to buying it?

Absolutely, and we would prefer it. Come to 70 Yorkville Avenue, handle the watch, and ask us anything about its condition or history. We will show you what we found when we opened it. Buying a watch you have not seen in person is a decision we would rather you did not have to make.
